Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. North Plainfield NJ 07060 followed by a 10:00 am funeral mass at St. Funeral Services will be held at 9:15 am on Tuesday Septemat Higgins Home for Funerals 461 Somerset St. She is also survived by other 3 brothers and two sister all of Puerto Rico and many nieces and nephews. Wilson, Amanda and Kathleen Day, Shauna Guzman and Anna Guzman a brother Jose Gonzalez of Plainfield, two sisters Julia Gonzalez of Fords and Tita Medina of North Plainfield. Surviving are her mother Arcadia Olan a son Luis A Guzman of Plainfield three daughters Rosa Wilson and her husband Kennard of East Stroudsburg PA, Maria Guzman of Plainfield, and Nelly Guzman-Day and her husband Earl of Plainfield six grandchildren Kenndra and Kennard Jr. Gladys Gonzalez works as a Director Derecho Financiero at Fundacin Social, which is a Government company with an estimated 172 employees, their management. Currently, Gladys is the Chief Operations.
She is predeceased by her father Ventura Gonzalez and her sister Teresa Vigo. Gladys Gonzalez has been with the Catholic Charities family of agencies for almost five years, serving in various capacities at multiple sites to advance the mission, to increase capacity and sustainability, and to manage over 45 programs providing relief to those most vulnerable in our community. She enjoyed cooking, playing dominoes, and word search puzzles but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Gonzalez worked for fourteen years as a machine operator at the Somerset County Recycling Center in Bridgewater, NJ. Gonzales was born in Anasco, Puerto Rico and had resided in Plainfield and North Plainfield before moving to Piscataway five years ago. Piscataway: Gladys Gonzalez, age 62 died on Thursday Augat Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield.
